Is Becky vegan?
Yes — 100% vegan and cruelty-free. Becky is formulated with 98% natural ingredients. No animal testing. Ever.

Honest answer: our product doubles in volume when wet, so a 2oz jar lasts most people 4–6 weeks of 2–3x weekly use. We make it in small batches in the USA. We use the same cosmetic-grade walnut shell powder and rosehip oil that high-end face products use. Shipping is free on US orders over $35. And we spent about $5 on ads to get you here. 😉
What does Becky smell like?
Nothing is added for fragrance — no perfume, no essential oils, no masking scent. What you smell is the base itself: aloe, oatstraw, chamomile and the seed oils, which read as faintly nutty and herbal, and a little stronger the moment you open a fresh jar. It rinses off and does not linger on skin. Plenty of people choose Becky precisely because it is unscented, but if you want a scrub that perfumes the whole bathroom, this is not that scrub.
How do I store my scrub?
Cool, dry place, lid closed. Don't leave it in a steamy shower for weeks on end — the walnut + oil combo can dry out or separate. Shelf life: 24 months sealed, 12 months opened.
Why should I scrub at all?
Skin sheds dead cells every 28 days. On the butt — where friction, sweat, and tight clothing slow that turnover — dead skin builds up, so skin feels rough and looks dull. Exfoliation clears that buildup. Becky does it physically (walnut shell) while delivering rosehip oil for brighter-looking skin, jojoba and aloe for moisture, and pro-vitamin B5 to soften.
How often should I scrub?
2–3 times per week. Not daily. If you're new to physical exfoliation, start with once a week and ramp up. Less is genuinely more here — over-scrubbing irritates skin.
How long until I see results?
Skin feels softer and smoother after the first use. With 2–3 scrubs a week, rough, bumpy spots look and feel smoother over the next few weeks. Consistency matters more than intensity — three scrubs a week for two months beats seven scrubs a week for one week.
Can I use Becky on a tattoo?
Not a freshly inked one. Wait until the tattoo is fully healed (4–6 weeks for most) before scrubbing over it. Once healed, it's fine.
Do you test on animals?
No. We would never. Becky is cruelty-free: it's never tested on animals.
Is it safe during pregnancy or while nursing?
The Becky scrub contains no retinoids, salicylic acid, or other ingredients flagged during pregnancy. That said, every pregnancy is different — always run new skincare past your OB/GYN, especially in the first trimester.
Doesn't walnut shell cause micro-tears?
Not when it's milled finely and uniformly — which Becky's is. The issue with mass-market walnut scrubs (like the famous St. Ives Apricot Scrub) is that their particles are jagged and too coarse for facial skin. Becky uses cosmetic-grade walnut shell powder, sized specifically for butt skin, which is thicker and more durable than your face. Read more: The Butt Skincare Routine.
Can I use Becky on places other than my butt?
Yes. Becky works on inner thighs, upper arms, and the bikini line. Avoid mucous membranes — don't apply internally. On the bikini line, exfoliate before hair removal and wait 24–48 hours after shaving or waxing.
Skin conditions
My skin looks red or feels bumpier since I started — what happened?
Nearly always too much pressure or too often. Physical exfoliation is meant to be light: one small scoop, slow circles for 30–60 seconds, two or three times a week, never on broken, sunburned, freshly shaved or waxed skin. Scrub hard enough to leave skin pink and you get irritation instead of smoother skin. Take a week off, then restart once a week with almost no pressure. Worth knowing too: if the bumps are itchy, uniform and come to a head, that can be folliculitis or fungal acne, which exfoliating tends to make angrier — worth asking a clinician about. Can I use Becky if I get butt breakouts?
Yes. Becky is a gentle physical exfoliant, not an acne treatment: it sweeps away the dead skin and buildup that make skin feel rough. If you get breakouts, pair it with a body wash made for breakout-prone skin (like one with salicylic acid), and see a dermatologist if bumps are painful or don't go away. Full buttne protocol here.
Can I use it on rough, bumpy "chicken skin"?
Yes. Exfoliating 2–3 times a week lifts the dead skin that makes bumpy areas feel rough, so skin looks and feels smoother. For keratosis pilaris itself, a daily lotion with lactic acid or urea is the usual go-to, and Becky pairs well with one. Full KP guide here.
Will it help with dark marks?
Regular exfoliation clears dull surface skin, so skin looks brighter and more even over time. Becky isn't a treatment for hyperpigmentation; for stubborn dark marks, add a niacinamide or vitamin C body lotion and ask a dermatologist. Full dark-spot protocol here.
Can Becky help with stretch marks?
Honest answer: no scrub removes stretch marks. Well-moisturized, smoother skin can make them a little less noticeable, and that's all Becky promises. Anyone selling a guaranteed "cure" is lying.
Will it help with cellulite?
Cellulite isn't a skin problem — it's a structural fat-and-connective-tissue pattern that 80–90% of women have. No cream cures it. What helps with appearance: staying hydrated and building glute muscle underneath. Becky smooths how the skin's surface feels, not what's underneath.

Is it gluten-free?
No — it contains hydrolyzed wheat protein. If you have a celiac or wheat allergy issue, talk to your derm before topical use. For most people without diagnosed gluten sensitivity, topical wheat protein doesn't cause issues.
Is it safe if I have a tree nut allergy?
The exfoliant is finely milled walnut shell, so if you have a tree nut allergy, do not use Becky without clearing it with your doctor first. Walnut shell is the hard outer shell rather than the nut meat, but it still comes from a tree nut and we would rather you check than find out in the shower. The formula also contains hydrolyzed wheat protein, which matters if you have a wheat allergy.
